Sabine Devieilhe, born in Caen in 1985, is a renowned coloratura soprano. Trained at the Caen Conservatoire and then in Paris, she first studied the cello before turning to opera singing. She distinguished herself in the demanding roles of the Queen of the Night, Lakmé and Ophelia. Winner of several Victoires de la musique classique awards, she signed with the Erato label in 2013. Devieilhe performs on the world’s greatest stages, including the Paris Opera and the Salzburg Festival, where she will portray Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro in 2023.
