MuCH Choir

The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel is thrilled to present the MuCH Choir: an open and welcoming community choir project that brings people together around music, joy, and shared experience.

Whether you sing regularly or have never been part of a choir, whether you read sheet music or prefer to learn by ear – everyone is welcome. There are no auditions. We follow an inclusive approach, giving care to every voice and ensuring everyone feels comfortable.

Who can join?

The MuCH Choir is open to:

  • Members of the community of the Music Chapel (patrons, partners, friends and subscribers)

  • Staff members and volunteers of the Music Chapel

  • Artists in residence & Alumni

  • Classical music lovers of all levels

There are no auditions. We follow an inclusive approach, paying attention to each voice and making sure everyone feels comfortable. Participation is free for all singers, but donations are welcome on this page with the reference “MuCH Choir”.

Current Project: Music Chapel Festival @ Flagey

For our upcoming project, the MuCH Choir takes center stage at the Music Chapel Festival in Flagey, on Decembeth 5th!

Together with two soloists (soprano and tenor), we will guide the audience through an interactive singing experience featuring two beloved melodies:

  • “Libiamo ne’ lieti calici” from La Traviata (Giuseppe Verdi)

  • “La Bohème” (Charles Aznavour)

The MuCH Choir serves as the strong musical backbone on stage and within the hall during this interactive moment. Thomas van Bogaert (founder of the Ravekoor) will be  leading this workshop.

Preparation & Learning Pathway

We provide a fully guided pathway so you can participate with confidence:

  1. Practice Material at Home (from Oct 15): You will receive digital scores and pre-recorded audio tracks separated by voice part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass).

  2. Optional Reading Session: A relaxed first walkthrough of the scores by voice part – no prior preparation required.
    4/11/2026

  3. Rehearsals at the Music Chapel: 4 guided rehearsals led by Gaëtan Waterkeyn:
    9/11/2026
    17/11/2026
    23/11/2026
