Tri’Oxymore
piano trio

Masaki Morishita, violin
Shikong Li, cello
Madoka Okada, piano
Founded in January 2025, Tri’Oxymore explores lesser-known and rarely performed works for piano trio. By placing these discoveries alongside the great classics of the repertoire, the ensemble invites audiences to hear both familiar music and neglected scores afresh.
Within months of its formation, the trio was admitted to the master’s programme in chamber music at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris, in the class of Claire Désert and François Salque. In 2025, it won First Prize at the Concours européen de musique de chambre, organised by FNAPEC, and was selected for a two-season residency, from 2025 to 2027, with ProQuartet – Centre Européen de Musique de Chambre.
Tri’Oxymore brings together violinist Masaki Morishita, cellist Shicong Li and pianist Madoka Okada. Each also pursues a solo career, performing across Europe.
The trio has received guidance from Pierre Fouchenneret, Edgar Moreau, Sébastien Vichard and Romain Descharmes, and has taken part in masterclasses with John Myerscough and Günter Pichler.
From the 2026–2027 season, Tri’Oxymore is an Artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, under the direction of Miguel da Silva, Corina Belcea and Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden.
