MuCH Waterloo Festival 2024
from 19 to 23 June
7th MuCH Waterloo Festival
A festival rooted in its city!
The MuCH Waterloo Festival 2024 will be held from 19 to 23 June.
This year, more than ever, it’s rooted in its home town of Waterloo. More than 20 concerts will enable you to (re)discover the artists and masters in their place of residence – the Chapelle Musicale – but also in partner venues such as the Musica Mundi school and the Wellington Museum, in a first collaboration with the MuCH Waterloo Festival.
The programme highlights the heart of the Chapelle’s activity, transmission. It offers concerts that bring together young talent – artists in residence or guests – and renowned personalities close to our institution, such as Abdel Rahman El Bacha and Tatiana Samouil, as well as partners such as the Listening Orchestra, the Académie de la Philharmonie du Luxembourg, the Malibran Ensemble, the I Virtuosi Ensemble and several choirs from our community.
Three prestige concerts will bring together exceptional formats: a Mozart opera (in a reduced version), a concert with orchestra and a prestige evening with Abdel Rahman El Bacha. As tradition dictates, the Festival will close with the Garden Party on Sunday 23 June, bringing the Fête de la Musique 2024 to a close. It’s an opportunity for everyone, of all ages, to immerse themselves in the world of the Chapelle Musicale, set in its green setting: 4 stages, including 2 outdoors, shows for families, concerts galore, music workshops for babies and children up to the age of 10… A relaxed and convivial way to immerse yourself!
Finally, mindful of the challenges of a more sustainable world, the MuCH Waterloo Festival is renewing its proposal for a greener festival infrastructure, while preserving the quality of its welcome.
A huge THANK YOU to our many partners, without whom this 7th edition would not be possible, and in particular to our sponsors ING and Proximus, as well as the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the National Lottery and its players, the Province of Walloon Brabant and of course the Municipality of Waterloo.
We wish you many moments of happiness and beauty for this new edition of the MuCH Waterloo Festival!
