The CD box "A Tribute to Ysaÿe" awarded at the Cecilia Prize
The 2019 Caecilia awards ceremony, hosted by Katelijne Boon & Saskia de Ville, has taken place yesterday, February 11, 2020, at La Monnaie/De Munt in Brussels in the presence of artists and representatives of the Belgian’s musical life.
We are very proud to announce that the CD box “A Tribute to Ysaÿe” has been awarded the Snepvangersprijs, rewarding an exceptional production of Belgian music.
Fruit of the collaboration between the Outhere label & the Music Chapel, this 5 CD box set offers an imaginary – but argued – selection of what would have been the elective musical environment of the master. His own works are blended with the music of those he loved, carried by magnificent artists, including two symphony orchestras. The same fervour and mastery emerge over the tracks. And you can feel how vast and beautiful Eugène Ysaÿe’s world is.
The box, that has already been selected for a Diapason d’Or earlier this year, is now released worldwide & on various streaming platforms.
