This musical show tells the story of a king who didn’t like music and his tiny kingdom of musicians. Together, they take us on a sonic and poetic journey to share with the whole family. The grumpy and authoritarian king had banished music from his realm, but through encounters and discoveries, this ruler gradually finds himself touched by sounds and rhythms from other lands… until he leads his people to the mysterious Jazzikistan, a country where music has the power to transform hearts and bring happiness.
Written by Mathieu Laine and set to music by Karol Beffa — a composer who has won multiple Victoires de la Musique awards — this show celebrates the magical powers of music, its ability to unite, move, and awaken the imagination. Violin, cello, clarinet, and piano accompany the audience throughout this captivating tale, brought to life by the warm voice of Karin Clercq and the poetic illustrations of Karo Pauwels.
A tender, funny, and adventurous tale, inviting both young and old to (re)discover the wonders of music!
