José van Dam’s singing class at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth joins forces with the OPRL and the City of Liège to celebrate César Franck, the local boy. Fifteen melodies and duets by César Franck allow us to immerse ourselves in the delights of French Romantic literature, with poems evoking nature, faith, nocturnal atmospheres… Alongside “Father Franck”, the young singers honour several of his contemporaries (Gounod, Fauré) or pupils gathered within the “Franckist school” (Duparc, d’Indy).

Within the framework of the César Franck Bicentenary 1822-2022
