Contius-Bach Festival /Academy

| This year, the second Contius Bach Festival is being organised around the new baroque organ in St Michel’s Church. This instrument is a faithful reconstruction of the instrument built by Heinrich-Andreas Contius 1774-1778 in Liepaja (Latvia). |
| H.A. Contius was J.S. Bach’s favourite organ builder, and we can therefore rightly consider this organ to be an ideal instrument for performing the master’s music. |

Workshop
As part of the festival, an academy with workshops and master classes around a central theme will be organised in collaboration with the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
