Alexander Kashpurin, piano
Alexander was born in Volzhsky, Volgograd Region, in 1996. In 2009-2014, he studied in the Musical Lyceum of Committee for Culture of Saint-Petersburg (class of Irina Lobikova). In 2014 -2019 he was a student of the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory (class of Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Tatyana Zagorovskaya).
- In 2019 Alexander graduated ‘summa cum laude’ for his mater degree and continued this graduation by the “Post Graduate Performance Course” which he also completed summa cum laude in 2021.
- In 2020 Alexander started the Specialist Degree “Artistic Direction of Symphony Orchestra and Academic Choir”.
In 2021 he finished the Master degree in Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory.
Since September this year Alexander is affiliated as lecturer (piano playing) at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory in St Petersburg.
Alexander is a laureate of the music competitions:
In 2010 – Grand Prix of the International Music Competition in Stockholm (Sweden);
In 2011 – winner of the “Perpetuum Mobile” International Music Competition (Ukraine);
In 2011 – winner of the “Young Talents of Russia” All-Russia Competition in “Music Art” category;
In 2012 – winner of the “Modern Classic” International Competition of Young Pianists (Latvia);
In 2013 – winner and special award recipient at the 9th “Chopin Golden Ring” International Competition of Young Pianists (Slovenia).
In 2017 – Grand Prix of the III All-Russian S.S. Benditsky competition (Saratov) and the VII Jazeps Vitols Interantional competition (Latvia).
In 2019 – winner and special award recipient at the 8th International M.K. Čiurlionis Piano and Organ Competition (Lithuania).
Participant of master classes by Tatyana Zagorovskaya, Willem Brons, Gottlieb Wallisch, Dmitri Bashkirov, Alexandra Türk, Mikhail Voskresensky, Hatto Beyerle, Alexander Sandler.

From September 2021, he will be an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
