"Sharing Christmas On Tour"

Community Projects

This year, let’s share the music “on Tour” with the artists of the Music Chapel!

To celebrate Christmas in the midst of a health and social crisis, the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel is mobilizing to bring music to as many people as possible, thanks to a network of Belgian social institutions set up within its “Community” department, supported by the Fondation Futur 21.

In the context of the “Sharing Christmas on Tour” project, the Chapel’s musicians perform Christmas concerts in the courtyards or gardens of each of these institutions, in full compliance with sanitary rules.

Intended as “Christmas interludes” lasting 15 minutes each, these concerts offer the Music Chapel’s artists in residence an opportunity to share their music with the public and care workers in establishments such as nursing homes, hospitals, psychiatric centers, institutions for troubled or disabled children, and day-care centers.

“Sharing Christmas On Tour” is a project launched at the initiative of Her Majesty Queen Mathilde, who wishes to increase solidarity in our society through a shared musical experience. The Queen will be attending the concert for patients and staff of the Clinique Sans Souci in Jette on 15 December.

You can find all the dates and the artists participating in this project in our calendar.
