Fabien Hyon, tenor

“Révélation classique de l’Adami” in 2015 and HSBC Laureate of the Aix-en-Provence Festival in 2017, Fabien Hyon studied music at the  Conservatoire de Paris (class of Malcolm Walker), where in 2016 he obtained his master’s in interpretation. His curiosity and eclecticism have led him to sing an extensive repertoire, ranging from baroque to contemporary. A passionate stage performer, he has sung in operas (Il Viaggio a Reims, L’Incoronazione di Poppea, La Carmélite, Candide, etc.), in oratorios (The Creation, St Mark Passion, Petite Messe Solennelle, Elijah, etc.) as well as with various chamber music ensembles, at Théâtre du Châtelet, the Scène Nationale de Châlons-en-Champagne, the Cité de la Musique, the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne and the Musica festival in Strasbourg, among others, sharing his love of song and words in the course of these musical and human encounters. In January 2017 ResMusica acclaimed his ‘radiant energy and his ease both on stage and vocally’ in Daniel D’Adamo’s Kamchatka. He will soon create the role of Nestor in Les Bains Macabres by Guillaume Connesson at the Athénée-Louis Jouvet in Paris.

Since September 2016 Fabien has been artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the tutelage of José van Dam and Sophie Koch.
