International Chamber Classics Festival

new collaboration - May 2025

The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel is excited to present the first International Chamber Classics Festival (ICCF) from May 9th to 13th, 2025.

This new event, in collaboration with CMDI Events, will bring together world-renowned musicians and emerging artists in a series of concerts and masterclasses, celebrating the beauty and intimacy of chamber music.
The Music Chapel is thrilled to host this festival, which offers a unique opportunity for their Artists in residence. With the participation of celebrated musicians such as Dora Schwarzberg (violin), Diemut Poppen (viola), Enrico Pace (piano), and Claudio Bohorquez (cello), the festival offers multiple masterclasses to the young talents. These musicians will be joined by Giuliano Mazzoccante (piano) and Yossif Ivanov (violin) on stage for a series of concerts. The concerts will be open to the public, offering a chance to enjoy music by composers from Mozart to Shostakovich, while the masterclasses are reserved for our Artists in Residence. More information about these concerts in Musica Mundi in Waterloo and in the Protestant church of Brussels, can be found on this website.

The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel remains dedicated to promoting artistic excellence and fostering a dynamic environment for musical growth. The International Chamber Classics Festival reflects this commitment, offering a platform for collaboration between renowned musicians and emerging talent. The event underscores the spirit of partnership that defines the Music Chapel, welcoming both the public and resident artists to experience an inspiring week of music and artistic exchange.

I am very grateful to Konstantin Ishkhanov and David Abrahamyan for inviting the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel to be part of this remarkable initiative. Their commitment to blending education, artistry, and community aligns perfectly with our values, and it is an honour to work alongside such visionary leaders in bringing this exceptional festival to fruition.

Anne-Lise Parotte – Artistic director of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel
