Eleonore Meens, soprano
French soprano Éléonore Meens, born in 2001, is from Saint-Omer (Pas-de-Calais). She began her vocal training at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental in her hometown with Françoise Tison. After initially pursuing a scientific curriculum, she chose to devote herself fully to opera singing and obtained a baccalauréat Technique de la Musique et de la Danse in Lille, while continuing her studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Lille in the class of Gabrielle Charles.
She was then admitted to the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where she studied with Valérie Guillorit. She further developed her training through numerous masterclasses and artistic collaborations with Marie-Ange Todorovitch, Nathalie Steinberg, Annick Massis and Antoine Palloc.
Since December 2024, she has been continuing her advanced training at the Centre d’Art Lyrique de la Méditerranée in Nice, where she has worked with Elizabeth Vidal and André Cognet. There, she has deepened her stage experience through concerts at the Opéra de Nice, in Falicon, Beaulieu and Cagnes-sur-Mer, and has benefited from the guidance of Sarah Schinasi, Olivier Desbordes, Kira Perfeevets, Mari Lili and Vincent Monteil.
Since April 2024, Éléonore Meens has been a member of the Academy of La Monnaie / De Munt in Brussels. She has been engaged there as a soloist since June 2025 and has already performed on this prestigious stage.
She has also been admitted to the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (CNSMDP).
A versatile musician, Éléonore Meens has also played the accordion since childhood, an instrument that has shaped her early connection to music, the stage and artistic expression.
Her repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary music, with a particular interest in the diversity of musical styles and languages.
Éléonore Meens is an Artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel since September 2025.
