Je suis reconnaissant de collaborer avec mon mentor Gary Hoffman et mon ami de longue date Nick DiBerardino sur sa nouvelle oeuvre pour deux violoncelles qui explore la relation de l’humanité avec notre monde naturel. J’ai trouvé particulièrement approprié de joindre cette nouvelle pièce aux oeuvres de Bach et de Chopin, qui, bien que ténébreuses, trouvent des lueurs d’espoir dans les cavernes les plus profondes de l’incertitude humaine.
