Charles Castleman, qui est peut-être l’interprète/pédagogue le plus actif au monde, a été soliste avec les orchestres de Philadelphie, Boston, Brisbane, Chicago, Hong Kong, Moscou, Mexico, New York, San Francisco, Séoul et Shanghai. Professeur de violon à la Frost School of Music de l’université de Miami, Charles Castleman a dirigé un grand nombre de masterclasses dans le monde entier. Il est le fondateur et le directeur du CASTLEMAN QUARTET PROGRAM, un atelier intensif et approfondi d’interprétation en solo et en chambre. Itzhak Perlman et Yo-Yo Ma y ont donné des masterclasses, M. Ma le qualifiant de «meilleur programme de ce type… un terrain d’entraînement à l’art de vivre».
