Born in 2002, of Belgian and Russian nationality, Valentine Liégeois started studying the piano at the age of 3 with Maria Andréeva. In 2007, aged 4, she won 2nd prize in the international piano competition of the Scriabin Conservatoire in Paris. In 2008, she obtains1st prize at the same international piano competition of the Scriabin Conservatoire in Paris and is laureate and “Allegretto” prize at the Munich international piano competition. She is also finalist at the EPTA international competition in Belgium. In May 2010 she wins “Absolute” first prize at the international “Musica Insieme” Musile di Piave competition (Venice). Then in April 2013, the Second prize at the Giovani Musicisti international competition in Treviso. Valentine has taken part in many concerts, including the concert at the Russian Embassy in 2008 and as guest of honor in 2011 at the ‘Royal Juillet Musical de Saint-Hubert’. At the age of 8, she performs a concerto accompanied by the Aculux orchestra of the Province of Liège. In September 2012, she is accepted at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in the piano section under Abdel Rahman El Bacha. For 2013-2014, she receives a scholarship from InBev-Baillet Latour.
