Voor dit concert, vindt u pianist Frank Braley en violiste Vladyslava Luchenko, associated artist van de Muziekkapel, begeleid door het Orchestre Symphonique de Bienne Soleure onder leiding van Kaspar Zender. Dit concert brengt concerti van Mozart en Beethoven, na twee opnamesessies in Bienne in maart 2019 en 2020, voor de cd-box Mozart Doubles, die in december verschijnt, in samenwerking met Outhere – Orchestre Symphonique Bienne Soleure – Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth. De topmusici delen het podium met de jonge artiesten in residentie Shuchi Okada en Leon Blekh.
Het concerto voor viool en piano in D-groot van Mozart moest gecreëerd worden in Mannheim met violist Ignaz Fränzl (1736-1811), maar in november 1778, toen Mozart voor de tweede maal in Mannheim aankomt, wordt het hoforkest, dat een bloeiperiode heeft gekend in de Paltische hoofdstad, ontbonden. Aldus laat Mozart zijn project voor wat het is en concentreert hij zich op andere opdrachten. Men zal nog moeten wachten tot 1985 en het onderzoek van Philip Wilby vooraleer deze partituur uiteindelijk het daglicht zal zien.
