Quartetto Adorno
Voor ons Artist Diploma hebben we gekozen om een van de beroemdste stukken uit het hele kwartetrepertoire, Schuberts “The Maiden and Death”, te combineren met een stuk dat ondanks zijn ongelooflijke schoonheid geen grote populariteit heeft bereikt: Bruckners Strijkkwintet.
Beide stukken vertonen een sterk intern contrast tussen momenten van opvallende dramatiek en momenten van typisch Weense lichtheid. Het kwintet stelt ons ook in staat om opnieuw samen te werken met Miguel Da Silva, die onze mentor is geweest sinds het begin van onze muzikale reis: hij is een prachtige bron van inspiratie voor ons.
