Louise Kuyvenhoven, soprano

Louise was born in Kortrijk, Belgium. After studying the violin for 10 years she started her bachelor degree at Conservatory of Ghent, Belgium where she studied with Gidon Saks.

She graduated with a Masterdegree at the Luca School of Arts in Leuven with Catrin Wyn-Davies. Louise has stage experience in several opera’s and projects at the International Opera Academy under the guidance of Guy Joosten. Louise is currently Artist in Residence at The Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo where she studies with José van Dam and Sophie Koch.

She is currently covering 3 roles at the De Munt/La Monnaie in the opera Les silences des ombres by Benjamin Attahir. Louise is also a member of the Lyon Opera Studio with whom she will be performing the part of Tiffany in John Adams’ I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky conducted by Vincent Renaud and directed by Eugen Jebeleanu.
