Katsura Mizumoto, piano

After receiving a Master of Economics from Hokkaido University, Katsura Mizumoto moved to Germany and graduated from the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt with the highest distinction.

She followed Masterclasses by Leon Fleischer, Paul-Badura Skoda, Vitaly Margulis among others,

Katsura has won prizes at international competitions including A.M.A Calabria, the German Academischer Austausch Service in Germany, the Hochschule Competition in Berlin. Katsura is currently soloist and chamber musician in Europe, USA, and Japan; She also performed chamber music with renowned musicians such as Charles Neidich, Nobuko Imai, Philippe Graffin, Michael Sanderling, Mayu Kishima and she is invited to international music festivals in Europe and Japan. She has been a teacher at Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt and she is now piano accompanist for the string section at the Royal Conservatory in Brussel as well as for the cello section of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel with the Master in residence Gary Hoffman.
