What’s up on Tour in June?

Summer is at our doorstep! This next month will be a busy one, with our MuCH Waterloo Festival in 5 venues in Waterloo from 12 to 16 June, but also a great deal of  “on Tour” concerts, in Belgium & abroad. Let’s navigate through them together!

In Belgium

1. Series “Vauxhall Summer” @Vaux-Hall:

For the third year in a row, the Vaux-Hall of Brussels’ parc opens its door during the summer, with an eclectic cultural program & a lot of concerts. The Music Chapel is pleased to collaborate with the Vauxhall Summer for a series of classical music concerts every Saturday evening.

 01.06.2019 – 18:00

For the first representation, the cellist Riana Anthony & the pianist Jonathan Fournel, both artists in residence, will perform F. Chopin and L. van Beethoven’s cello sonatas.

08.06.2019 – 18:00

The Aurora Piano Quartet will play for the audience of the Vauxhall Summer on 08.06, with quartets from W. A. Mozart & L. van Beethoven.

15.06.2019 – 18:00

For this third week of concerts in the Vaux-Hall, artist in residence Sofia Silva Sousa, accompanied by Olga Kirpicheva will interpret works from P. Hindemith & Y. Bowen.

22.06.2019 – 18:00

The pianist in residence Guillaume Vincent will indulge the audience of the Vauxhall Summer with a recital around works from L. van Beethoven & F. Liszt.

29.06.2019 – 18:00

The mezzo-soprano in residence Mathilde Legrand, accompanied by Philippe Riga, will wrap up June’s concert series at Vaux-Hall .

2. Series “Bozar Next Generation” @Bozar – 02.06.2019 – 11:00

The “Bozar Next Generation” concerts aims to the recognition of young musicians, while ensuring a relaxing and enriching Sunday for the audience. On 02.06.19, they will be able to discover Elia Cohen-Weissert, cellist in residence, accompanied by Michael Cohen. They will perform works from F. Schubert, S. Prokofiev & G. Rossini at Bozar.

3. Concerts Series @Maison de la Musique – 04.06.2019 – 20:00

Soloists in residence Guillaume Vincent (piano),  Sofia Silva Sousa (viola) & Jee Won Kim (violin), accompanied by Olga Kirpicheva Christia Hudziy, are the guests of the Maison de la Musique in June with an eclectic program: W. A. Mozart, F. Chopin, P. Hindemith, N. Paganini & P. I. Tchaïkovsky ! Dedicated to the memory of violist Louis Poulet and painter Danieli, the Maison de la Musique organizes many concerts  throughout the year.

4. Concert @Concertgebouw Brugges – 06.06.2019 – 20:00

The artist in residence Ella Van Poucke will perform a series of concerts with Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, conducted by Jan Latham-Koenig, starting on 06.06 at the Concertgebouw in Brugges. They will perform pieces from G. Lekeu, C. Saint -Saëns & C. Franck.

5. Concert @De Singel Antwerpen– 16.06.2019 – 15:00

The second date of the concerts series by Ella Van Poucke with the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, conducted by Jan Latham-Koenig, will take place on 16.06 at De Singel, Antwerpen.

 

Abroad

1.Residency @Académie Musicale de Villecroze:  20.06 > 29.06.2019

Miguel da Silva (viola) & Pavel Vernikov (violin) will host a masterclass residency in the Académie Musicale de Villecroze, for several young artists of both the Music Chapel and the Académie de Villecroze, from 20 to 29 June 2019. Soloists in residence Jùlia Pusker (violin), Jane Hyeonjin Cho (violin), Rosalind Ventris (viola), Riana Anthony (cello) will take part in this residency.

2. Concerts Series @Académie Musicale de Villecroze : 27.06.2019 – 20:3028.06.2019 – 20:30

In the framework of the residency in Villecroze, Miguel da Silva & Pavel Vernikov will perform 2 concerts with the participants in the Master class on 27 & 28.06 in Villecroze. They will perform string sextets from P. I. Tchaïkovsky & J. Brahms, among others.
