What’s up on Tour this Summer?
Summer holidays are finally here! While you’re probably be going to slow it down and take a (well deserved) rest, our artists in residence are keeping up the pace, with series of concerts both in Belgium & in the world.
1. Festival Musicorum @Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique: 04.07.19 – 12:15
The Festival Musicorum (former « Festival des Minimes ») has been organizing classical music concerts in the heart of Brussels for many years. Great international artists honour the festival each year with their presence. They share the stage with young talented musicians, among which Riana Anthony & Julia Pùsker, respectively cellist & violinist in residence at the Music Chapel. They will be performing pieces for solo cello and solo violin from J. S. Bach and C. A. Piatti, as well as B. Bartok’s Hungarian Folk Melodies and J. Halvorsen’s Passacaglia, after G.F Handel Passacaglia from the Suite No. 7 in G minor for harpsichord.
2. Series “Vauxhall Summer” @Vaux-Hall:
For the third year in a row, the Vaux-Hall of Brussels’ parc opens its door during the summer, with an eclectic cultural program & a lot of concerts. The Music Chapel is pleased to collaborate with the Vauxhall Summer for a series of classical music concerts every Saturday evening.
For the first representation, the audience of the Vaux-Hall will have the pleasure to listen to the violinist in residence Julia Pùsker , accompanied by the pianist Dana Protopopescu. They will be performing the Variations on Trockne Blumen from F. Schubert and the violin sonata from E. Elgar.
Jérémy Garbarg, cellist in residence, accompanied by Dana Protopopescu, will indulge the audience with cello pieces from J. S. Bach, F. Mendelssohn & J. Brahms for the second representation in July at Vaux-Hall.
For the last concert of July at the Vaux-Hall, the pianist in residence Djordje Radevski will offer an amazing recital to the audience of the festival.
3. Festival de l’été Mosan : 28.07.19 – 17:00
For many years now, the Festival de l’été Mosan is synonymous with encounters and musical discoveries. Its itinerancy from churches to castles, from barns to gardens, each one more exceptional than the next, criss-crosses one of the most beautiful regions of Wallonia. Architectural discoveries, an amazing and diversified program as well as the quality of the welcome are all invitations to join this summer event. The Trio Metral, alumni of the Music Chapel, is invited to play for the audience of the festival. They will perform the Trio in D-flat major from F. Schubert and the Trio in C minor from F. Mendelssohn.
1. LacMus Festival in Italy : from June 26 to July 7
The LacMus Festival define itself as “an international music festival and an academy of excellence in an environment whose beauty and tranquility can inspire every artist and offer the public unforgettable moments.” The Music Chapel participates in this festival in promoting meetings between young artists and great masters. The concert’s programs will range from baroque to contemporary music.
For this first concert of the Music Chapel in Como, the Guest Master in residence Sophie Koch, the singers in residence Louise Kuyvenhoven & François Pardailhé as well as the baritone Rupert Grössinger, accompanied by the pianist Marie Datcharry, will indulge the audience with a voice recital around operas from W. A. Mozart, R. Strauss or J. Offenbach, among others.
The Musical Greenway is the unmissable appointment of the LacMus Festival: a walk along the Greenway del Lago interspersed with sound stages. An experience that allows the spectators to enjoy the beauty of the area and at the same time enjoy the music. Singers François Pardailhé & Louise Kuyvenhoven, as well as pianists Lorenzo Bovitutti, Luigi Carroccia &Jonathan Fournel participate in this amazing concert this year.
Luigi Carroccia, pianist in residence, will offer a peaceful recital to the audience, playing some of F. Chopin’s most wonderful Nocturnes.
Master in residence Louis Lortie, initiator of the LacMus project, along with pianists Lorenzo Bovitutti & Luigi Carroccia, accompanied by the LacMus Quintet, will perform piano concertos from J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart & F. Chopin.
2. International Piccolo Festival @ Villa Gorgo: 18.07.19 – 20:15
The International Piccolo Festival is an Italian event that has for interest to combine the concerts & shows with mansions soul. The audience will have the joy to listen to a voice recital from Dania El Zein, Mathilde Legrand & Fabien Hyon, along with tenor Pierre-Emmanuel Roubet & baritone Alexander Artemenko.
3. Concert in Trieste : 19.07.19 -21:00
The singers in residence Mathilde Legrand, Dania El Zein & Fabien Hyon will be in Trieste with their colleagues of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo for an interpretation of the opera from J. Offenbach, Mr Choufleuri restera chez lui.
4. Festival International du Domaine Forget @ Domaine Forget : 26.07.19 – 20:00
Each year, the Festival International du Domaine Forget offers more than 80 events & amazing concerts in an exceptional environment. In the framework of the collaboration between the Domaine Forget and the Music Chapel, Master in residence Miguel da Silva and artists in residence Jane Cho (violin), Irénée Krumenacker (viola), Elia Cohen-Weissert (cello) & Riana Anthony (cello), as well as the great violinist Pavel Vernikov will perform string sextets from R. Strauss, J. Brahms & P. I. Tchaïkovsky.
