Social & Artistic project under the leadership of Maria João Pires

The Equinox project is dedicated to the creation and development of children’s choirs. The aim of this project is simple – to share the artistic excellence of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel with people who would not normally have access to it thanks the masters and young musicians of the Music Chapel.

Job description

Project manager: concert coordination & backstage

  • Coordinating concerts and rehearsals: venues, transports, soloists, accommodation, backstage
  • Planning and coordinating activities with partners (SOS Village Burundi, Cité de la Musique, Paris, Maison Marie-Henriette, Petite Maison, Chastre, Ecole Horta)
  • Coordinating the musicians and soloists in residence volunteering for the project
  • Ensuring the attendance of the children
  • Preparing music scores

Coordination of external communication

  • Managing the website and social networks
  • Communicating activities with partners (SOS Village Burundi, Cité de la Musique (Paris), Maison Marie-Henriette, Petite Maison in Chastre, Ecole Horta)
  • Creating special brochures
  • Supporting partners with their own communication regarding the project
  • Linking the artistic and administrative departments

Administrative duties

  • Updating the children’s personal data
  • Informing and communicating with the parents
  • Checking and collecting from the staff the reports on the children’s progress

Profile required

  • Experience in theatre and concert production
  • Good musical level (focus on choir repertoire)
  • Excellent communication skills with children, their teachers and parents
  • Knowledge of communication tools and social networks
  • Good level of spoken and written French and English. Other languages an asset
  • Dynamic, responsible and persevering personality
  • driving licence
