The support from the Baillet Latour Fund

The Baillet Latour Fund was created in 1974, on the initiative of Count Alfred de Baillet Latour. Its objective? To promote, encourage and reward and reward excellence, mainly in Belgium, by placing people at the heart of its action. For more than 40 years the Fund has sought to support initiatives that are remarkable for their influence, their encouragement of human excellence, or their innovative approach to meeting the challenges of tomorrow’s society.

The support of the Baillet Latour Fund generates concrete, precise and forward-looking benefits in five areas: health, culture, education, sports, and the environment.
The Baillet Latour Biomedical Award, the restoration of emblematic works of Belgian movable heritage, the accompaniment of initiatives relating to the integration and equality of opportunity of young people in vulnerable situations, support for high-level musical and sporting activities, the Environment Prize, are just some of the Fund’s support and actions that continually contribute to the development of projects that make a difference.

The Fund is pleased to sponsor talented young musicians by awarding 3 scholarships that allow these young artists to pursue their musical studies in the exceptional setting of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the guidance of prestigious masters. Through its donations, the Fund has also made it possible to purchase pianos and other musical instruments for the young talents of the Chapel, ensuring them quality musical training. The Chapel makes an extraordinary effort to the development of these young talents and their participation in prestigious ensembles in Belgium and around the world. Helping the blossoming of their dreams is an objective of which the Baillet Latour Fund is particularly proud.
