5 artists in residence selected for the semi-final of the Queen Elisabeth Competition!

The Music Chapel is proud to announce the selection of 5 artists in residence for the semi-finals of the Queen Elisabeth Cello Competition 2022. Ella Van Poucke, Oleksiy Shadrin, Florian Pons, Stéphanie Huang & Riana Anthony will thus be back next week for the rest of the competition.

The semi-finals will start this Monday, May 16 in Flagey and will continue until Saturday, May 21 with two sessions per day at 3 pm and 8 pm. On two different days, each of the 24 semi-finalists will play a recital with piano accompaniment and a Haydn concerto with the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, conducted by Vahan Mardirossian.

Radio and television

From the semi-final onwards, all the candidates’ performances will be broadcast on Musiq’3, La Trois, Klara and Canvas, as well as on Proximus Pickx and RTBF Auvio, including the winners’ concerts. Consult the broadcast schedule here.
