MuCH Waterloo Festival

@ Music Chapel

A breath of music and optimism at the MuCH Waterloo Festival!

The 2020 edition having been postponed due to the pandemic, 2021 marks the 4th edition of the MuCH Waterloo Festival, specially conceived with the latest health measures in mind.
The festival will take place at the Music Chapel itself, both indoors in the Haas-Teichen concert hall (with a seating capacity adapted to the health measures) and outside in the park, where the public can be accommodated in greater numbers (up to 400 people). This year, the four-day festival will be rounded off with a concert day on Sunday at the Chapel.
This is also a mixed edition, which is to say that live concerts will be complemented by three digital concerts available on the Chapel’s YouTube channel. The following concerts will be shown: the opening concert (a Belgian program, with young artists in residence, the master in residence Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, and a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2021), a “Schubertiade” with the Busch Trio, and, especially for families, “The Carnival of the Animals”, a crowd-pleasing show that now also has a filmed version, thanks to Proximus. These concerts will be accessible to the large community of spectators who have been following the Chapel for many months, in Belgium and around the world.
We are happy to be able to offer, in the current circumstances, a festive and first-rate program that gives pride of place to the Chapel’s artists in residence, some associated artists (Busch Trio), as well as guest artists and ensembles (I Virtuosi, Steve and Greg Houben). This year’s edition stands for optimism, openness and accessibility to all audiences.
You can also find the whole program at a glance by clicking on our interactive program!

The Music Chapel wishes to thank its structural partners and in particular the partners behind this festival: the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the National Lottery, the Province of Walloon Brabant and the Municipality of Waterloo.
