The CD box "A Tribute to Ysaÿe" awarded with a Diapason d'or!

Each month, the critics of Diapason magazine award their favorite releases among the thousands of new cds recorded by classical musicians with the very coveted Diapason d’or.

The Music Chapel is delighted to announce that the CD box “A Tribute to Ysaÿe” has been selected for this award in their February issue!

The recordings feature works from Ysaÿe, among which an exclusive rediscovered concerto, as well as works dedicated to him by the greatest composers of him time, like C. Franck or E. Chausson, interpreted by amazing artists such as Augustin Dumay, Renaud Capuçon, Miguel da Silva, Gary Hoffman and Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, as well as many exceptionally talented young soloists but also great orchestras (Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège and conductors Jean-Jacques Kantorow, François-Xavier Roth and Christian Arming; the Brussels Philharmonic and its music director Stéphane Denève).

The critic Jean-Michel Molkhou describes the box as a “…magnificent homage paid by the elite of today’s and tomorrow’s performers“.

By bringing together brilliant soloists, (…), around his compositions, the tribute paid to Ysaÿe by the Music Chapel shows itself to be worthy of the giant it honours. The box (…) marks the culmination of a bold project.
