The so-called “Brandenburg concertos bear a dedication written by Bach himself in his best French to the Margrave of Brandenburg. to the Margrave of Brandenburg. He sends him six concertos grossos that he assembles, despite their diversity of forms. The numbers 3 and 6 are dedicated to the strings, which he makes dance in a frantic and luminous movement. Radiant, the Mendelssohn of the trio is just as radiant. A softness, both elegiac and subtle elegiac and subtle makes the strings sing,
around a decidedly romantic piano, almost Schumannian.
