III. Scherzo. Leggiero e vivace
IV. Finale. Allegro assai appassionato

In what may very well be his first trio, the father of classicism gives the keyboard instrument a predominant role, while the violin and cello often reinforce the pianist’s two hands. Beethoven, for his part, launched into the trio genre by demonstrating his mastery of the Viennese style while incorporating the original ideas that already permeated the rest of his output, such as the richness of texture and the dramatic power of dynamic contrasts.

After having shared the stage many times, Ryo Kojima, Jérémy Garbarg, and Kojiro Okada decide to create the Consonance Trio, definitely one of the emerging formations of the new generation. Since septembre 2020, they are Artists in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth music Chapel.
