Benedetta Bucci, viola

Born in 1997, Benedetta Bucci started the study of the violin when she was five at the Chigiana Music Academy of Siena. At the age of 17, she achieved the viola diploma with full marks, honors and honorable mention at the music Coservatory “ Rinaldo Franci” in Siena. As a soloist she has played with the Greve in Chianti Orchestra the Rolla viola concerto during various concerts in Austria including at the Solitar of Mozarteum in Salzburg.

She participated in various national competition, winning the first prize at the Concorso “Nuovi Orizzonti”, Arezzo; the first prize “Premio Crescendo” in Florence; the first prize at the 32nd Rassegna Nazionale d’Archi “Mario Benvenuti”, Vittorio Veneto; the first prize with honors and honorable mention at “10° Competition CALCIT, Arezzo; the first prize at the 14°Concorso Nazionale Riviera Etrusca, Piombino; she reached the second place in the “Concorso nazionale Premio Abbado”, Bergamo; first prize with honors in the Aldobrandeschi Competition, Lions Club, Grosseto.

At the end of 2015, she took part to the LGT Young Soloists and in 2017 she recorded with them as a soloist the Vocalise of Rachmaninoff for the RCA red Seal Sony in the cd Russian Soul. She has studied with Maestro Bruno Giuranna from 2012 to 2017 at the Walter Stauffer Music Academy in Cremona and at the Chigiana Music Academy in Siena where she achieved, during the summer of 2013, the prestigious Diploma of Honor. She is part of Quartetto Adorno who won the Third Prize, the Special Prize for the best performance of a contemporary piece and the Public’s Prize at the International String Quartet Competition “XI Premio Paolo Borciani”.

In september 2018, she became an artist in residence at the Music Chapel, under the guidance of Miguel da Silva.
