Did you know that Beethoven’s last words were about champagne? “How can I thank you enough for this excellent champagne; how it has refreshed me and will refresh me still!” he wrote to Baron Johan Pasqualati in what would be one his last letters, dated March 1827.Recent research has shown that Beethoven’s passion for good wines and champagne may have been fatal to the great composer. On Tuesday 02.12.2014, a wine tasting will be organized around “Beethoven’s fatal passion for wine.” It will be the perfect opportunity for you to discover excellent German wines, both familiar and less familiar ones. The wines will be served with delicious cheese.
