The Music Chapel was invited by the Poona Music Society and the NCPA (National Center of performing Arts) of Mumbai for a series of five concerts from September 17th till September 28th.

Two Masters in residence (Augustin Dumay and Maria João Pires (playing in India for the first time!), three young soloists in residence (Ashot Katchatourian, Julien Brocal, Liya Petrova), and one alumni (Gauthier Herrmann, member of the Trio Con Fuocco, in residence in 2008-2009 with the Artemis Quartet) and one guest, the young viola player Adrien La Marca who already took part to the last Music Chapel Festival “The Romantics” (in 2013), share the stage for two Partitura recitals, two chamber music concerts and one symphonic concert with the Sinfonia Orchestra of India at the NCPA of Mumbai .

The public is very enthusiastic (all the concerts are fully-booked), and discovers with interest the Music Chapel’s project of companionship and transmission.

This first Tour in India is already a success and will for sure lead to other projects in this incredibly developping continent.
