Musical studies at the Conservatory of Music in Nice under the direction of Pierre Cochereau.
Between 1977 and 1984 , opera coach and assistant Chorus Master under the artistic direction of Pierre Dervaux and Berislav Klobucar at the Opera in Nice.
Then, she starts her international career working on main European stages (Paris, London, Milano, Rome, Bologna, Madrid, München,Brussels ) and festivals (Pesaro, Bregenz, Aix- en- Provence, Orange, Radio-France etc) with conductors such as:
Georges Prêtre,Manuel Rosenthal,Alain Lombard,Patrick Fournillier, Lamberto Gardelli, Bruno Campanella, Giuseppe Patané, Gianfranco Masini,Antonio Pappano, Jeffrey Tate,Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel… and working with singers as: José van Dam, Piero Cappucilli, José Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti, Jaime Aragall, Placido Domingo, Montserrat Caballé, Leonie Rysanek, Gwyneth Jones, James King, Nicolai Ghiaurov, Roberto Alagna,Thomas Hampson, Ben Heppner, June Anderson, Samuel Ramey and many others…
At the same time, she is principal coach at the Monte-Carlo Opera under the direction of John Mordler and Lawrence Foster (1984/ 1991).
Between 1996 and 2000, Jocelyne Dienst is responsable of the artistic team at the “Centre National d’Insertion Professionnelle pour Artistes Lyrique in Marseille” (CNIPAL).
Since 1999, she is musical assistant of Sir Colin Davis in London (London Symphony Orchestra), where she was coaching, among other things, the recordings of Berlioz’s operas (Damnation de Faust, Benvenuto Cellini, Béatrice et Benédict, Les Troyens, l’Enfance du Christ) as well as Carmen,Samson and Dalila, Fidelio, Magic Flute, Falstaff and Otello.
She is also teaching at the “Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel” in Brussels together with José van Dam and at the “Centro de Perfeccionamiento Placido Domingo” in Valencia, where she also works at the Opera House (Palau de les Arts) :”Iphigénie en Tauride” and “Cyrano de Bergerac” with Patrick Fournillier and Placido Domingo (as well as in Milano at La Scala and Paris, Théâtre du Châtelet),” Carmen” and “Faust” with Lorin Maazel, and in June-July 2010 a new Production of “Carmen” with Mehta,Garança and Alvarez. She participated in a production of “Cyrano de Bergerac” in autumn 2010 at the Opera of San Francisco, and “Clemenza Di Tito” at the Aix-en-Provence Festival with Sir Colin Davis and the LSO (summer 2011). She was also coaching “Carmen” in Oman(Nov/Dec2011) under the direction of Patrick Fournillier, “Carmen” in Bari, conductor Lorin Maazel (January 2012). Next projects are “Thais” and “Le Cid” by Massenet in Valencia with Placido Domingo and Patrick Fournillier (spring 2012), “Thérèse” by Massenet at Radio France Festival (July 2012), “Manon Lescaut” in Warsaw (Autumn 2012), “Contes d’Hoffmann” in San Francisco (Dessay, Pely, Fournillier) in spring 2013, “Les pêcheurs de Perles” in Parma as well as “Barbiere di Siviglia” in Palm Beach and “Thaïs” in Los Angeles in spring 2014 with Placido Domingo. Some of the projects of the season 2014/2015 will bring her in Amsterdam for “l’Étoile” de Chabrier, in Barcelona for “Carmen”, in Helsinki for “Thaïs” and in Warsaw for William Tell.
Above all, Jocelyne Dienst-Bladin is specializing in French Opera.
